Belle & Bunty is a British mid level designer womenswear company, founded by Alice-Louise Shreeve and Hannah Coniam in April 2003. In September of the same year, they launched their debut collection during London fashion week, and the collection received much critical acclaim. They have achieved a great deal of success in a short time, and their designs are frequently featured in the media including in Vogue, Elle and Marie Claire magazines. Alice and Hannah were filmed for a Channel 4 documentary TV program which profiled the rise of the Belle and Bunty label. Incidentally, the name of the label, "Belle and Bunty" comes from the school nicknames of the two founders!
Many celebrities have been seen wearing Belle and Bunty dresses, tops, waistcoats, skirts and trousers, including Amanda Holden, June Sarpong, Myleene Klass, Tamzin Outhwaite, Alexa Chung and Sophie Ellis Bextor. Even the ubiquitous Ms Victoria Beckham is known to be a fan of the Belle & Bunty label.
Signature styles of the brand include vibrant printed and / or embroidered designs, which are feminine and easy to wear. The fabric most frequently chosen for the designs is silk, and many of the dresses feature hand printed silk material. Camisole tops are flirty, flowing and frilly.
Alice & Hannah won the Natwest Every Woman Artemis Award for the most insprational woman under 25 years of age running a business.
